About Carlee Children's Wear retail store
Carlee Children’s Wear has been dressing boys and girls in Canberra for a quarter of a century.
The shop is well-known on Federation Square for toddlers and older children. But over time, the retail landscape evolved.
New shop owner, Nektaria, decided to rethink her little boutique. She needed display shelving for her retail store to make it more attractive and engaging with flexibility for the future.
She knew what she wanted, but could she afford the shop of her dream amid the COVID-19 pandemic?

Carlee Children's Wear Shop Fit-Out
Most of Nektaria’s customers want to physically see and feel the items before making up their minds. They want to have a clear understanding of the size of the product. Parents and grandparents also want to ensure the fabrics will not cause any discomfort or rashes due to sensitive skins or allergies.
When Nektaria took over the store, Carlee Children’s Wear was jam-packed with kids’ items. Aisles were more or less obstructed, resulting in poor customer experience. It was imperative to make the store more appealing, brighter and tidier with better retail shelving systems. The Canberran shop owner wanted the store to become more accessible to parents with a stroller or a pram and customers in wheelchairs.
Nektaria needed her store to look stylish and inspiring without breaking the bank.
The young retailer chose the UniSlot™ Pod modular display system to give her store a stylish finish. The unit was designed with three sections and LED lighting to highlight the showcased items. The three areas cover the shop’s collections for special occasions and two clothing sections.
To stay on budget, she decided to install the UniSlot™ Pod modular shopfitting system with the help of some friends. The shop owner ordered a customised white counter and a set of white nested display tables to match the new look display.
The local community of customers acclaim the refitted Carlee Children Wear in Canberra. “We couldn’t be happier with the fresh new look”, she says.
